Ratha Arrived in Cambodia

Ratha arrived in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and is settling in with the new change. Kasey and the family are managing things at home as they prepare to join Ratha in Cambodia soon.
This is, of course, not what we had hoped for. Ratha was a tax-paying, hard working man who cared deeply for his family and community. What happened doesn't feel right; it's not how you're supposed to treat someone who has given so much to those around themselves.
Right now, our effort is best spent supporting Ratha, Kasey, and their family as they relocate and begin a new chapter in Cambodia. It's easy to find reasons to be upset, but a positive mindset will help them move forward and be together as as family, which is ultimately most important.
Our efforts will also shift from stopping Ratha's deportation to working with the immigration system to secure his legal reentry to the United States.
I want to thank everyone who signed the petition, called or emailed our elected officials, or supported this cause in other ways. Regardless of the outcome, this community's support is noteworthy and provides enduring support not just for Ratha and their family, but for the migrant community as a whole.
Thank you again for your support!
