Keep Principal Andrew Schwartz at Baldwin Park Elementary

Keep Principal Andrew Schwartz at Baldwin Park Elementary
The Issue
Support Principal Schwartz and Protect our School Community
We, the undersigned parents, staff, and community members, are deeply concerned by any effort to remove Principal Andrew Schwartz from Baldwin Park Elementary School.
Principal Schwartz is more than an administrator. He is a steady, trusted leader who knows our students, supports our teachers, and shows up for our families every single day. His leadership has helped create the positive, high-performing, and connected school community that Baldwin Park families value so deeply.
At a time when schools across the country face challenges with morale, staffing, and student support, removing an effective and respected principal would be harmful to the stability and success of our school. Students thrive when they have consistency, trusted leadership, and a strong school culture, all of which Principal Schwartz has worked tirelessly to build.
Despite the extraordinary success and positive growth Baldwin Park Elementary has experienced under Principal Schwartz’s leadership, OCPS is reportedly not only considering moving him from our school, but also demoting him from his current position. We believe this is both unfair and deeply discouraging. Rather than recognizing and supporting proven leadership, this action risks undermining the progress, trust, and sense of community that students, families, and staff have worked so hard to build together.
The Baldwin Park community is paying attention, and we want our voices heard. We expect Orange County Public Schools leadership to consider the real impact this decision would have on students, staff, and families before making a change that could undermine the trust and progress built under Principal Schwartz’s leadership.
We stand united in our support for Principal Schwartz and urge OCPS to retain him as principal of Baldwin Park Elementary.
