Kindred has announced that it is consulting on the proposed closure of Big Top Preschool at Buckingham Park Community Centre.

  This preschool has served our community for over 12 years and has become a much-loved part of life for hundreds of local families. It provides an invaluable term-time preschool option, helping children learn, develop and prepare for school in a safe, nurturing environment.

Many children due to return in September have already settled happily into the setting and have built strong relationships with its experienced and dedicated staff.

The proposed closure would leave families facing uncertainty at one of the most difficult times of the year, when many alternative preschool places have already been allocated. It would also result in the loss of an important community service for Buckingham Park.

What We're Asking
We respectfully ask Kindred, Buckinghamshire Council, Buckingham Park Parish Council and all relevant stakeholders to work together to ensure that preschool provision continues at Buckingham Park Community Centre.

If Kindred decides that this setting no longer fits its future business model, we ask that every effort is made to explore a transfer to another suitable early years provider, allowing this valued preschool to continue serving local families with as little disruption as possible.

Big Top Preschool is more than just a childcare setting.
