We have now reached the threshold where Islington and Hackney Councils must formally acknowledge our concerns. We are calling on decision-makers—including Cllr Santiago Bell-Bradford and Cllr Carole Williams—to address the systemic barriers and indirect discrimination facing our Global Majority creative practitioners.

Under the Equality Act 2010, the Council has a duty to protect all nine protected characteristics. We won’t stop until our cultural landscape is truly equitable and inclusive.
