Hi all, I wanted to let you know that we now have 164 signatures on this petition. Thank you so much for your support!

We delivered 1,100 flyers so this is an amazing response so far.

You could help get more signatures by sharing this petition with other people on social media? Facebook groups, SMS chats, Twitter, email and WhatsApp all work great. You could also check every adult who supports this in your household has signed, not just the one adult. If more of us sign, we can’t be ignored!

Thanks again for supporting this cause.  Know that you are not alone.

We hope to see a lot of you at the meeting tonight at 6.30pm in front of the fireplace at the Club. Given the comments online last night - we note that everyone attending the meeting must be respectful and allow people to speak - even if they don't agree with their opinion.  That is actually the point - we know this is divisive and there are lots of opinions - in this sense the exact opinions don't actually matter - just that they are diverse and also emotionally charged.

KEY AGENDA:

  1. What further action, if any, should we take as a group to stop/reverse the political activism initiated by the Board, Chairman and CEO so Sandhurst can be peaceful again? This does not mean we need to give up our position in order to be peaceful
  2. Going by chatter on socials last night, options include: calling for the resignation of the CEO and/or Chairman, calling for a vote of no confidence of the board, exploring legal avenues to stop the ceremony (are there any lawyers on this list - if yes please email cr.sandhurst@gmail.com so we can explore this together prior to the meeting)
  3. We know not being consulted is the main issue - so how do we ensure we are consulted in the future on important matters such as this one so this doesn't happen again on another issue?

If you are away and can't attend or if you have items you would like added to the agenda - or suggestions to bring up, please email cr.sandhurst@gmail.com - so we can have a constructive meeting with a planned agenda - rather than a session focusing on complaints and going in circles - we want to focus on affirmative action and have something to work on at the end of the meeting.

Thanks to everyone who has shown support amidst the poor behaviour online by some individuals in the past 48 hours.  All of this unruly behaviour just proves our position - so don't get too worried about what anyone is saying or their bullying tactics - don't take anything personally for example.  WE NEED TO STAY CALM AND RATIONAL SO WE CAN BE HEARD. People going off the deep end just sound irrational.  Keep that in mind going forward on this.

Finally, you may never have taken a stance on anything before - neither have we.  It may feel a little uncomfortable - but the time to start standing up is now.  We have strength in numbers - so let's stand strong together and support each other wholeheartedly.
