Dear Pokemon community, i ask you to join this petition and for once reunite to show our disappointment. This is not something we should accept and let go, it’s the soul of Pokemon that will completely disappear and we cannot accept it this is way beyond the acceptable.

To The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, and all companies responsible for the Pokémon ecosystem: Pokémon has always been more than a video game.

For millions of players around the world, Pokémon are memories. They are Pokémon we caught as children, Pokémon we spent hundreds of hours training, Pokémon we received from friends, Pokémon we hunted for days or even months, and Pokémon that have accompanied us across multiple generations of games.

The ability to carry these Pokémon forward is one of the most unique and meaningful aspects of the Pokémon franchise.

Pokémon Bank is not simply an old application. It is part of the bridge connecting generations of Pokémon games.

With Pokémon Bank, players have been able to preserve Pokémon from older generations and eventually transfer them into Pokémon HOME. This has allowed Pokémon from the 3DS generation and earlier games to continue their journey into the modern Pokémon ecosystem.

The announced shutdown of Pokémon Bank in February 2027 threatens this continuity. This is not simply about keeping an old service alive.

It is about preserving the history of Pokémon.

A Pokémon caught many years ago is not necessarily replaceable by catching another Pokémon with the same species.

A Shiny Pokémon found after hundreds of hours of hunting is not interchangeable with a newly obtained Shiny.

A Pokémon carrying the original Trainer’s name, Trainer ID, history and memories cannot simply be recreated by purchasing a newer game. For many players, these Pokémon are digital memories.

Taking away the ability to transfer them means breaking a link between generations of Pokémon that players have spent decades building. Older Pokémon games are also part of Pokémon’s history, they have an enormous value and a lot of people still play/hunt/challenge on them and make content on social media on them. That’s what you always promoted, Pokemon.

This means that the consequences do not only affect people who already own Pokémon Bank or old consoles. A new generation of Pokémon players may never have a meaningful way to experience the older games, obtain Pokémon there legitimately, and carry those Pokémon forward into the modern ecosystem.

We should not create a situation where Pokémon’s own history gradually becomes inaccessible simply because the hardware and services used by those games are becoming old. And even so, we’re in 2026 and there’s surely a lot of options accessible to maintain it especially with your experience or even community experience.

The Pokémon franchise has survived for generations precisely because it preserves connections between its games and because that was always promoted. The Pokémon should be allowed to survive with those generations too. We also understand that maintaining old infrastructure forever may not be practical.

That is why we are not demanding that Pokémon Bank necessarily remain exactly as it is forever. We are asking for a permanent, official alternative before Pokémon Bank is discontinued.

This could take many forms:

-Keeping Pokémon Bank available in a limited maintenance-only state.
-Creating a permanent migration service from Pokémon Bank to Pokémon HOME.
-Providing an official offline migration tool.
-Creating an official hardware adapter or cable capable of transferring compatible Pokémon data.
-Providing another secure method that preserves the ability to transfer Pokémon from older generations.
-Ensuring that Pokémon already obtained legitimately by players are not effectively trapped on obsolete hardware.

The exact technology is not the point. Preservation is.

The technology can change.                                   The games can change.                                                   The consoles can change.

But the Pokémon themselves should not become inaccessible simply because a service has reached the end of its commercial life.

This should be the minimum commitment to the loving and suppressed community that you have.

The Pokémon franchise has become one of the most successful entertainment franchises in history because generations of players have supported it, purchased its games, collected its products and kept the franchise alive for decades.

We are not asking for an unreasonable luxury.

We are asking for the preservation of an existing capability that has become fundamental to the Pokémon experience.

The community has invested decades into this ecosystem.

The least that can be done is to provide a lasting way for our Pokémon to remain part of it. Pokémon is built around the idea of catching Pokémon, caring for them and carrying them with us.

Please do not let that promise end simply because an old service is being discontinued.

We ask The Pokémon Company and Nintendo to:

1. Keep Pokémon Bank operational beyond February 2027, even if only in a limited maintenance mode; OR

2. Provide an official permanent alternative that allows legitimate Pokémon from older generations to be transferred into Pokémon HOME; AND

3. Ensure that players are given a secure and accessible method to preserve their Pokémon collections across generations; AND

4. Consider the needs of collectors, competitive players, Shiny hunters, longtime fans, and new players who deserve access to Pokémon’s history.

Pokémon has always been about taking your Pokémon with you on your journey.

Please let us continue that journey.

Don’t close the bridge between generations. Because this was never how Pokemon treats its games and history and their values.

Keep Pokémon Bank alive  or give us a real, permanent alternative.

We accepted a lot of things, but this is not something that should end this is the soul of pokemon to always be able the transfer of our pokemon. Not to mention it’s not a free feature, we’re actively paying for being able to transfer from Bank to home.
