Keep People Housed in Fulton County.

Keep People Housed in Fulton County.
The Issue
Funding Secured for FY26
Thanks to your support, Fulton County included funding for supportive services through Home First Permanent Supportive Housing in the FY26 budget.
This protects housing stability for hundreds of people who were formerly unhoused and ensures the services that help people stay housed continue in 2026. The Fulton County Commissioners also committed to working with Partners for HOME on sustainable funding beyond FY26.
Your action made a difference. Thank you for helping keep people housed
Fulton County made a promise. Now it needs to keep it.
Right now, hundreds of people in Fulton County who were once sleeping outside are safely housed.
They are not just given a set of keys, they also receive basic support services like case management, help managing health needs, and connections to care that help them stay housed. This approach works especially for people with disabilities and serious health challenges
This is called permanent supportive housing. It is one of the most proven ways to prevent people from returning to homelessness
In 2019, Fulton County made a long-term commitment to funding these support services. That commitment made it possible to.
- Build housing
- Move people off the streets
- Keep people housed over time
- Protect taxpayer investments
Today, more than 300 people are housed and receiving services. Over 200 more people are expected to move into housing. In 2026.
But here's the problem.
Fulton County’s FY26 budget does not yet fully fund the services that make this housing work.
Without those services.
- People with disabilities could lose their housing.
- People could return to living outside.
- Years of progress could be undone.
- Taxpayer investment and housing could be wasted
This is not a new request.
This is the Commissioners being asked to follow through on a commitment that was made in 2019.
Support services cost far less than emergency rooms and repeated crisis responses. Funding what works is both the right thing to do and the smart thing to do.
Get Involved
We are asking the Fulton County Board of Commissioners to honor its long-term commitment and fully fund support services in the FY26 budget so formally unhoused people can remain safely and stably housed.
Keeping people housed works.
Keeping our word matters.
Keeping this commitment protects people and taxpayers.
Sign your name to urge the Fulton County Board of Commissioners to keep people housed.
