Pen Y Fan Pond has always been ours — a place for families, friends, and the community to enjoy freely.

Now that’s under threat.

Llanover Estate plan to introduce parking charges at the top car park — during a cost of living crisis. This isn’t about improving the area, it’s about profit. And likely, profit from fines hitting local people who’ve used this space for years.

The council have tried to renew the lease but Llanover Estate have served notice so they are unable — so let’s push for a better solution.

Instead of paying private landowners, we’re calling on the council to invest that money into the existing council-owned car park: expand it, improve facilities, and keep access to Pen Y Fan Pond free for everyone.

Most importantly, the community deserves a say.

This is about protecting a space that means so much to so many of us — and making sure it stays open and accessible for future generations.
