AT LAST!   We were able to present the petition to the 84 Sheffield Councillors at a Public Meeting.

We can't help but feel emotional listening to the firsthand experiences of those that have survived abuse and we are grateful to our service users that feel strongly enough to do that in front of strangers... special thanks to Emma, Gemma and Becks!  The standing ovation in the Town Hall was much deserved for Becks.

Thank you to all that joined us on the steps of the Sheffield Town Hall: survivors, therapists, staff, volunteers and friends who all go above and beyond for Vida.

THIS PETITION HAS BEEN SO IMPORTANT TO US and continues to be as we make the  case that the long-term mental health recovery of women survivors of abuse is so important and is life saving.

Please, if you can, continue to share our petition as we have no funding promised yet. Senior Officers and Politicians have spoken out in Vida's favour but there is no assurance that our service can continue without significant core funding.

£5 per month will give 2 women their first experience of life-saving specialist therapy.

£10 per month will provide professional supervision to volunteer therapists providing 24hrs of support to abused women.
