The Strathcona PAC Safe School Grounds Committee is asking the VSB to widen the unsafe main entrance/exit to the school's courtyard on the East side - the one bordered by the parking lot and dumpsters. This bottleneck is so narrow, that it's actually in contravention of the BC Building Code.

As you all know, with hundreds of bodies walking thru this narrow choke point each day, passage thru this main entrance is super slow - and we're worried that this bottleneck would block students' escape routes if there were an emergency, like a fire or an earthquake.
