For the past few years, the Fleece and Flagon has been more than just a pub to our community in Witney—it has been a home away from home, a gathering place filled with warmth, laughter, and camaraderie. This transformation did not happen by chance; it is the result of the unwavering dedication and love poured into the establishment by our extraordinary landlady, Louise

When Louise took over the reins of the Fleece and Flagon, the pub was on the brink of closure. Through her commitment, passion, and innovative spirit, she has revitalized our cherished pub, turning it into the vibrant heart of our community it is today.  Introducing local entertainment, and fostering an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome, Louise has made a significant impact on both the pub's success and the lives of its patrons.

Under her leadership, the Fleece and Flagon has seen an increase in its clientele by over 30%, and has become a safe haven for many, including families and local organisations. It offers a haven where people can come together, celebrate milestones, or simply unwind after a long day.

Despite these accomplishments, Louise's position is now under threat, allegedly due to new management policies prioritizing cost-cutting measures over community value. We cannot let our community’s sanctuary fall victim to such short-sighted decisions.

Preserving Louise’s role means preserving the spirit of the Fleece and Flagon itself. We urge the management not only to recognize her invaluable contributions but also to understand the critical role she plays in sustaining the community oasis that this pub has become.

Together, let us make our voices heard and stand firm in our support for Louise. It's time to let those in power know how much we value her work and the tremendous difference she makes in our lives. Sign this petition to keep Louise as the landlady of the Fleece and Flagon, ensuring our community hub continues to thrive.
