We're facing an uncertain future as developers are purchasing the beautiful pub. While change and development are inevitable, we mustn't lose the elements of our town that keep it vibrant and connected. The Sportsman Pub offers more than just food and drink; it's a gathering place for families, a haven for old friends, and a welcoming beacon that has made many feel a sense of belonging.

For the elderly and isolated individuals, The Sportsman is a light in their social calendar, providing a safe and friendly environment for interaction. To lose this space would be a disservice to the community and a loss of an inclusive spot for so many.

Furthermore, Belen and Cangui have brought unique Cuban flavors to Hyde, their food is delicious. Their contributions are not only delicious but have brought new life and new patrons to the pub.

The buyer has a chance to capitalize on what makes this location valuable. The two floors above could be transformed into sought-after apartments while maintaining the pub's operation, ensuring that both new residents and longtime locals benefit from the site's redevelopment.
