Officer Jason Poniewaz is more than just a School Resource Officer at our elementary school; he is a beacon of security and trust for our community. He has earned the trust, respect, and admiration of our students, parents, teachers, and staff. On numerous occasions, Officer Poniewaz has gone beyond the call of duty to ensure the safety and well-being of our children. When the weather was bad, he personally ensured my kids, along with countless others, arrived home safely. This personal commitment is just one of many examples of his dedication and care.

For our children, the presence of Officer Poniewaz at the school gates means a friendly smile and a familiar face who genuinely cares about their welfare. In a world that's often unpredictable, the consistency and security he provides are invaluable. His ability to connect with students and maintain a safe environment fosters a positive and secure learning atmosphere.

While every officer could bring different strengths, the deep bonds and understanding Officer Poniewaz has developed with our children and the school community are irreplaceable. Changing this dynamic could disrupt the sense of security that he has painstakingly built over his tenure.
