I moved to California and first rode the Navigator of the Seas. It quickly became more than a ship: it was my second home. I established a bond with the crew as well as new friends onboard and found myself calling it 'home'. I missed sailing on the Navigator in Florida amidst the pandemic in 2020, an absence that emphasized its significance in my life one I first got on board. 

The Navigator is slated for replacement by a ship that does not share its unique features. This is concerning, not just for myself, but perhaps many others who have shared their special moments on board. Royal Caribbean should honor the loyalty of its customers by ensuring that the Navigator remains permanently in Los Angeles. This is not a blind call for loyalty; it’s about the shared memories and the unique experience that the Navigator provides.

Indeed, California’s tourism sector, which was hard hit by the 2020 pandemic, could use the vital boost this ship provides. California is the most visited state in the U.S., bringing in 268 million tourists in 2018 according to Visit California. And among many attractions, unique experiences like the Navigator of the Seas draw in the crowds.

We call upon Royal Caribbean to reconsider the decision and to demonstrate loyalty to us, the loyal customers, by keeping Navigator of the Seas in Los Angeles.
