As you all may have heard by now, the catastrophic news concerning Monty Don stepping down from Gardener’s World (GW) at the end of this season. Which we can also assume will lead to the loss of seeing Ned! 

Monty Don's irreplaceable role in GW not only supports our personal well-being but also fosters a sense of community. Coupled with multiple studies showing that gardening enhances our mental health……Ergo, Monty Don can cure mental health! 

His teachings encourage eco-friendly practices, biodiversity, and sustainability—core elements critical to our environmental future. Allowing Monty Don to step down GW will not only ruin all of our Friday or Sunday evening routines, but could result in a loss of a vital educational resource for both novice and seasoned gardeners alike.

The BBC has a responsibility to maintain this bastion of green education and personal wellness. We urge the BBC to heed our call and ensure Monty Don remains the heart and soul of Gardener’s World indefinitely….. or at least  part way to catching Attenborough (and he’s been on Tele for ages!)   The show must go on.
