Thank you so much to everyone who’s signed and shared this petition so far — your support is powerful, and I’m grateful for every single one of you.
I’ve reached out to decision-makers multiple times now and have yet to receive any response. If you’re as frustrated as I am, please consider emailing or calling as well. They need to hear from more of us.
And now — the latest gut punch:
Starting August 1st, they’re adding a $10 per day vehicle admission fee.
Yes, you read that right. For a public park. A space we already support through public funding, taxes, and community efforts. A place that should be free for families, neighbors, students, artists, runners, seniors — everyone. Instead, they’re slapping on a fee that makes it harder for everyday people to access green space — something that should be a basic right, not a luxury.
This isn't just frustrating — it’s insulting. It's a slap in the face to everyone who treats this park like a second home. We shouldn’t have to pay to exist in the spaces we’ve nurtured and protected for years.
Keep sharing. Keep signing. Keep speaking out. We’re not done.
