My son is a proud participant in Kare Youth League in Upland, California. He has gained immeasurable benefits from the values that Kare Youth League teaches. This program is not just about sports; it's about shaping young minds and preparing them for life.

Unfortunately, our beloved sports program is at risk of closure. This would mean depriving hundreds of children like my son of an opportunity to learn teamwork, discipline, and resilience - values that are crucial for their personal development.

Kare Youth League sports programs have been a cornerstone of our community for years. According to data from The Aspen Institute’s Project Play initiative (2019), participation in organized sports can lead to higher self-esteem, better physical health and improved academic performance among children.

We must not let this invaluable resource slip away from us due to budget and other administrative decisions. We urge Mr. Horton and the board of Kare Youth to reconsider any plans they may have regarding the closure of this program in Upland. 

Our children deserve access to these enriching experiences now more than ever before. Let's stand together as a community and ensure that future generations continue benefiting from these programs as well.
