Hello my fellow Victorians and Melbournians. If you have clicked on this petition, it is probably because you love Jase and Lauren, and of course Clint! With sad news yesterday, our favourite radio hosts will be finishing up in December. Unfortunately they didn’t have a choice, and they will be out of a job very soon. This is due to Kyle and Jack-O signing a 10 year radio deal worth around $200 Million dollars. This deal allows them to extend their show in Sydney to Melbourne, which unfortunately means Jase N Lauren are no more. 

This is very sad and unfair, having little time to process what has happened, to find another job and finish up a show they have been doing for 2.5 years.

 This is a statement from a teary Lauren Phillips “We wouldn't have it any other way. We were put together during lockdown when we couldn't spend any time getting to know each other and this has just been the most glorious friendship.We didn't want this. We said good bye to both your mum and dad in those two years, we said hello to your baby Archie, said goodbye to the queen. We have celebrated and had broken limbs and heads.”

Jase Hawkins then added with raw emotions “We're a little dysfunctional family. And we're still on air until the end of next week, so we will still be rocking up. I wish Kyle and Jackie O good luck, they are extremely lucky to inherit the people that listen to this show”

 

Many people across Melbourne and Victoria are shocked with this news and are not happy with the fact Kyle and Jackie-O will be taking over Jase N Lauren. I myself am very sad to hear this, the joy they bring me every morning, the pleasure to meet them at the Big Melbourne Mate date and have a genuine conversation with them, and having a laugh every day with the posts they share. 

Going back to the others who are also disappointed with this news, I have found a lot of comments showing a very similar pattern and reaction. Here are a few comments from fellow listeners on the KIIS101.1 and Jase n Lauren socials.

“Not happy.  My mornings just won't be the same. Can’t stand Kyle and Jackie-O”

“ This is ridiculous!! Best morning radio show ever. Looks like it’s time for a new station!“

“NO!!!... The last few years you guys are the only reason I could get my autistic daughter into the car, she's loves listening in the morning, it calms her and for the first time she felt included by laughing along with you.”

“Noooooo. I'm in tears watching this. You three have brightened my darkest days and I thank you. Thank you for letting your listeners know. Love you all and will follow you if another station pick you up.”

“So bad, I am so upset over this. I will definitely be changing stations, starting when you switch off. You have an amazing connection to each other and to your listeners. We will miss you.”

”They can KIIS their listeners goodbye. It’s a no from us. Will miss you guys so much!”

“Absolutely devastating news! I’m from Sydney and I hands down prefer to listen to the Melbourne show over the Sydney one! Very sad to see this end” 

“I started following this show the year PJ left and because I'm in Canada I just catch the highlights. It's been an absolute joy to watch your content over the last 3 years. This Canadian will miss you!”

“I am horrified by this news. I’m from Brisbane and only hear your show on a Saturday morning.  It's a brilliant show too.  Everyone seems to have brilliant chemistry together.  Fingers crossed for good news for all of you.”

As you can see from just a very small portion of comments, you can see the pattern of negative impact and sadness. 
It seems that there isn’t just fans in Victoria and Melbourne feeling impacted by this news, people from across Australia and beyond are upset by this. The amount of joy Jase, Lauren and Clint have brought to each listener is astounding. The fact they created the big Melbourne mate date and changed so many peoples lives from doing that. From changing lives with the 50k note, hide n seek n so on feels so much better and different than when Kyle and Jackie-O do that. I think it’s because of the connection and positive impact Jase n Lauren have on their listeners. They don’t make it feel like you’re just a listener, you feel apart of their “Dysfunctional” little family. 

So if you want to see Jase, Lauren and Clint continue in 2024 and many more years on KIIS101.1 and you don’t want to listen to Kyle and Jackie-O, SIGN THIS PETITION! SHARE IT, TAG KIIS101.1 AND JASE N LAUREN! SPREAD THE WORD! 

If they can’t stay on KIIS101.1 hopefully this petition will gain some support n traction and get across to many people, in hopes that they can maybe create a brand new radio station n show or jump on another radio station n keep Jase, Lauren and Clint’s funny shenanigans alive! 

So I will say it again…. IF YOU ARE UPSET, ANGRY, OR SHOCKED, BY THIS NEWS AND YOU DONT WANT TO SEE JASE, LAUREN AND CLINT SAY GOODBYE FOR GOOD, AND IF YOU DONT WANT TO LISTEN TO KYLE AND JACKIE-O, SIGN THIS PETITION!!! SHARE IT, LIKE IT, SPREAD THE WORD!!!!
