Instagram has announced they will be getting rid of their “Recent Posts” within their hashtag search section. They have already replaced all recent hashtags with “Recent TOP posts” which is already damaging to many small businesses that rely on this section to be seen by possible customers. A majority of us never have posts who reach the “top posts” within an hashtag, let alone the “top recent posts” section.

Entirely removing the Recents section will be absolutely *catastrophic* to all who run a business on instagram. As it is how many new customers find what they would like to purchase, how many selling groups spread their posts within a specific sale, and how many small businesses receive a majority of their foot traffic.
