From August of 2020 to December of 2021 Teva Pharmaceuticals didn't produce the unique antidepressant medication Nefazodone due to a "shortage" of an ingredient.  Most of us had been on this medication for 20+ years and helped our depression and anxiety greatly.  Nefazodone is a one of a kind medication and most of us could not find any other medication that would help us.  We experienced terrible withdrawals, uncontrolled panic attacks, became unable to leave our houses, became traumatized, and even suicide attempts.  Also our depression and anxiety came back full force.  The shortage took 2 years away from people's lives.  We are very thankful that Teva has brought Nefazodone back to market.  We have been in regular contact with Teva, but without any notification on May 2nd, 2023 we found out the 150mg and 200mg tablets will not be available until mid June of 2023.  Two weeks earlier the supply was "very healthy".  This medication is vital to our health, due to the shortage some people have PTSD and finding out that some doses are not available is concerning.

We are starting this petition to Teva and the FDA to ensure that the stock of nefazodone is kept at adequate levels and to produce it indefinitely.  This is vital to our lives and we can't tolerate another shortage.  We are depending on Teva to make Nefazodone indefinitely and keep the supply strong as another shortage could be detrimental to people's lives.
