Video Highlights from the Gulf Harbour Community Trust (GHCT) 5th Volunteer Day
A community-led initiative to keep the grounds of the Gulf Harbour Country Club tidy continues with a dedicated team of helpers and support from local businesses. On Sunday 16 March 2025 a group of approximately 50 volunteers gathered on the golf course and undertook a targeted cleanup of the grounds focussing on pest plants, areas which have been badly graffitied and the heavily overgrown main entrance to course. In addition, the Mowing Team have continued regular work to keep the greens and fairways kempt. Monthly Volunteer Days will continue into the foreseeable future.
KWGS is not directly involved in this initiative but have played a supporting role to enable the team of mowers to get an action plan drawn up, gather resources to get volunteers on-board, setup and register the Gulf Harbour Community Trust (GHCT) and devise a comprehensive clean-up plan. The Trust now have Patrons who are taking an active lookout on the state of each of the golf holes and a growing number of volunteers to help with clean-up activities.
