We are parents and community members requesting that the Fort Mohave location of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America remain open for the 2026 summer camp program.

This location was originally and recently announced as part of the summer program, and many families made plans around it. The sudden decision to close it has left parents without reliable childcare and created stress for working families.

For many of us, this location is essential, not just convenient. Our children as members have also built relationships with faculty and the environment of this club's location. Also, the alternative location is not accessible for everyone due to distance, transportation, and scheduling challenges.

We understand there may be operational or staffing reasons behind this decision. However, we are asking leadership to reconsider and explore possible solutions, such as:

- Operating at reduced capacity

- Adjusting hours or program structure

- Working with families and the community for support

We respectfully ask leadership to reevaluate the decision to close this location, communicate clearly with families, and work with the community to find a solution that keeps this site open.

This location matters. Our children matter. Our families matter.
