We, the undersigned, call on the landlord of the Boathouse Cafe and Bar and local councillors to work with current manager Derrick Daniel on a new business plan to keep him managing the bar at an affordable rent for the forseeable future, and for Barking and Dagenham Council to consider a temporary reduction in business rates to help hospitality businesses like the Boathouse.
