Keep Cyberchase alive

The Issue

When I think about how much I've learned and grown, one thing always stands out—Cyberchase. This show has taught me to love math in ways that nothing else has. At age 11, I'm at a critical stage of learning, and Cyberchase has truly shaped my journey. Not only personally, but it's evident through various studies that Cyberchase has helped countless kids understand and excel in math, such as simplifying fractions and grasping basic mathematical principles. When I was nine, I discovered this show and loved it, my first episode was the one you see right here, it gave me a head start in math, it helped remind me not to kill myself because I wanted to see the show air each night, and when I was a new kid, I knew I had to think like them.
But what concerns me most is how older kids, those aged 6-11, are often overlooked in these discussions. This is a pivotal age for developing interests and strengths, yet the educational content we need is at risk of disappearing. For many children, including myself, Cyberchase is an invaluable resource—something infinitely more beneficial than scrolling through endless YouTube shorts.

The cancellation of Cyberchase would mean more than just losing a show. It would mean stripping away a source of inspiration and education for kids at a time when they're forming crucial academic foundations. We need resources that speak directly to us, older kids, not just random filler content.

I urge PBS Kids and relevant stakeholders to reconsider any decisions to discontinue Cyberchase and instead focus on promoting and sustaining it. By doing so, we can ensure that this powerful teaching and inspirational tool continues to empower the next generation, cultivating not just mathematical skills but a genuine love and excitement for learning.

Please sign this petition to keep Cyberchase alive for the children who are eager to learn and embrace math as they grow. It will help generations of kids to learn math. Take a look at one of the episodes:
