We call on the Government of Canada to ensure that our country is not drawn into the escalating war involving Iran.

Canada has long been respected as a nation that values diplomacy, international law, and peaceful conflict resolution. At a time when violence and instability threaten millions of lives, Canada should remain committed to these principles.

War will only bring destruction, civilian suffering, and long-lasting regional instability. Instead of contributing to military escalation, Canada should use its diplomatic influence to promote de-escalation, dialogue, and a peaceful resolution.

We urge the Government of Canada to:

Refrain from any military involvement in this conflict.

Advocate for an immediate de-escalation of hostilities.

Use Canada’s diplomatic position to encourage negotiations and help bring about peace.

Canada should stand on the side of diplomacy, international law, and the protection of civilian lives.
