Many of my fellow students and I as well came to Vanguard not only for the cutting-edge STEM education but also for a small community working with but separate from the main Broken Arrow High School.

The heart of Vanguard comes from its community and the accomplishments that can be made by the students at Vanguard. Opening the system to the degree that the new plan suggests will not only disrupt the community but also lessen the achievements of Vanguard students. Letting in students at any grade and barring new freshmen from entering shatters the carefully crafted curriculum of Vanguard, which relies on starting in freshman year and continuing through until senior capstone.
