Big News for Fort Collins!
The Fort Collins Food Co-op is officially under contract to purchase Beavers Market (formerly Fresh Foods), bringing together two of Fort Collins' most beloved and longstanding food institutions — the Co-op (est. 1972) and Beavers (est. 1975). This is more than a move — it’s a homecoming.

We’re committed to honoring the original Beavers Market vibe — community-driven, approachable, and welcoming to all — while improving and expanding what’s offered. That means:

Affordable staples and tiered pricing for all major food groups
A revitalized deli and butcher counter
A bigger and better bulk section
A wider selection of locally grown and made goods, and
A full-service, one-stop-shop experience that truly feels like it’s for everyone.
Led by our new board of directors — including Chair Amanda Hofer and local business owner Natalie Yoder of Stodgy Brewing — this is a grassroots move with deep roots. It’s about preserving local character, expanding access to good food, and building something inclusive, sustainable, and strong for the future.

The Co-op is not niche. It’s not elitist. It’s yours. And with your support — financial, practical, or simply by spreading the word — we can ensure this next chapter reflects everything we love about Fort Collins.

Let’s build this together.  If you're interested in helping with our move, reach out! bodfccoop@gmail.com
