Bạn Bè is a local family Vietnamese food business based in East Village, Stratford, London. 

We set up our kitchen in East Village in August 2021 and have received a tremendous response from customers within the E20 community.

Based on customer reviews from Google, Deliveroo and Uber Eats, we are the highest rated food operator in East Village. 

Get Living are the commercial landlords for the building in which we operate (Plot N16).

They have made it clear that our building (Plot N16) is to be demolished and made into accommodation.

In response to this, we entered into discussions with Get Living to find a new home for Bạn Bè in East Village as soon as possible.

Get Living senior management encouraged us to consider retail unit 3.2 on Victory Parade, East Village. They stipulated the commercial terms in which they would be happy for us to move in to the unit as a dine in restaurant.

We formally accepted their terms in early February and agreed to take the unit. Having not received a response from Get Living, we were recently informed they had since received other external offers on the unit. They are currently reviewing their options.

If we are unable to find a permanent site within East Village we will be forced to leave. This would be the very worst outcome for us and our local customers. Please be assured we are doing everything we can to avoid this outcome.

The purpose of this petition is to further demonstrate to Get Living that there is support from our customers in the local community who want us to:

a) remain in East Village, Stratford E20 on a more permanent basis

b) open a dine in restaurant in retail unit 3.2 Victory Parade, East Village.
