To the Government of Alberta,

We, the undersigned, call on the Government of Alberta to stop promoting rhetoric, policies, or actions that encourage Alberta separation from Canada and instead focus on the issues that directly impact Albertans’ daily lives.

Alberta is strongest when leaders work to unite people, strengthen communities, and address the real concerns facing residents. Many Albertans want provincial leadership focused on affordability, healthcare access, education, jobs, housing, public safety, and economic stability, not political division or uncertainty about Alberta’s place within Canada.

We believe Alberta can advocate strongly for provincial interests while remaining a proud and constructive part of Canada. Leadership should reflect the diversity of views across this province and avoid deepening divisions among Albertans.

We respectfully call on the Government of Alberta to:

• Publicly affirm Alberta’s place within Canada
• Stop pursuing or promoting separation focused rhetoric or initiatives
• Prioritize practical solutions to affordability, healthcare, education, and economic concerns
• Focus on unity and policies that improve the lives of Albertans
• If Premier Danielle Smith chooses to actively pursue or advocate for Alberta separation, we call on her to step down and allow leadership that reflects a commitment to keeping Alberta within Canada
