Dr. Karen Cruz and Dr. Paul Stapleton are both professors at Concordia University Chicago and are being targeted against by administration for their refusal to remain silent about racism, prejudice, and sexism on campus. April 8, 2022 - Dr. Stapleton was barred from stepping foot onto campus because of his advocacy for students of color. There is great fear that Dr. Cruz will be next. **update for clarity, Dr. Stapleton was not fired, but was asked not to return next semester. 

We as the student body wish to gather a voice and fight for those who have fought for us. Both Dr. Cruz and Dr. Stapleton are highly decorated professors who have been used as scapegoats for a much larger issue. And while CUC may wish to keep this news secret, we as the student body see it as our duty to bring this injustice to light.
