The Issue

From the age of just 4 years old, I have endured unspeakable trauma at the hands of my father. My sister, too, was just 2 years old when his horrific abuse began. Over a span of 11-17 years, he not only sexually assaulted us but also physically harmed my three brothers. Despite being faced with 27 charges, he was convicted of only one and sentenced to just 6-10 years in prison. Shockingly, due to so-called "good behavior," he could be released in as little as three years, by 2029.

This is not a case of a one-time incident or isolated mistake; this man has a history of inflicting harm on those who should be closest to him. He has repeatedly threatened to harm us and has expressed a willingness to abuse others if given the chance. This demonstrates a continuous danger to society that cannot be ignored or brushed aside.

Statistics reveal that recidivism rates among sexual offenders are troublingly high, with many offenders reoffending upon release. Allowing my father back into society would put countless others at risk. Having grown up under his shadow, I fear for any future potential victims who could suffer as my family has.

He has had a lifetime to reflect and choose to change his ways, but instead, he consistently chose to exploit and abuse those around him. His current incarceration is the result of his choices, yet even that sentence is insufficient and does not reflect the full gravity of his actions.

This petition aims to gather support to keep my father incarcerated for the full term and ensure that he does not have the opportunity to inflict further harm on innocents. If we can present a significant number of signatures, it will strengthen my testimonies when I get the chance to speak out again, hopefully influencing the decision to keep him behind bars for the maximum possible duration.

Please join me in making sure that justice is served, not just for my family, but for the safety and well-being of our broader community. Your signature is a step towards protecting future generations from enduring the pain we have lived through. Stand with us in saying NO to early release for a man who has proven to be a perpetual threat to society.

Sign this petition to prevent him from harming anyone else. [REDACTED]
