Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to reach out with an update on the petition, and the progress we have made.

As a follow-up on the June 17th Bellevue College Board of Trustees meeting, the Executive Director of the Bellevue College Foundation was emailed an invitation by a group of KBCS volunteers, requesting a more in-depth dialogue about the matter of extending Yuko's contract.

Yesterday, we received confirmation that the Executive Director is willing to discuss this further and is coordinating a time that will also work for other Bellevue College Foundation leadership to join the conversation.

We hope that these dialogues will open up an opportunity to further discuss options for extending Yuko's contract, and keeping her vital voice on the air at KBCS. 

In the meantime, please, continue to share the petition with others who want to keep local social justice reporting on the air in the Puget Sound Region and want to join you in this effort.

Our work is not done yet, and there is still so much to be discussed. Please, consider adding your comments to the bottom of the petition to share your voice of concern over this matter, and continue to share this petition. We will continue to keep you updated as things progress.
