According to a Metro.co.uk article, the states of Alabama, Washington, and Arizona, have introduced new guidelines that would allow patients with Down syndrome, cerebral palsy and autism to die should they get the coronavirus.

The guideline states that ‘persons with severe mental retardation, advanced dementia or severe traumatic brain injury may be poor candidates for ventilator support.’ This means that those with disabilities could be left to die should they require a ventilator to combat COVID-19.

These policies are particularly frightening for the disability community as this is how the practice of eugenics started under the control of Hitler.
