As of 8/5/22, Kavic is safely in the hands of the amazing staff at Stray Rescue of St. Louis. He has had a nice sudsy, warm bath and is getting all the belly rubs he can stand. The vet has confirmed that the growth on the side of his head and his protruding eye are due to a massive tumor that has taken over the bone around Kavic’s eye. They’ve taken biopsies to see if it is cancerous. 

The poor chihuahuas leg may not have been hacked due to cancer; as of now that remains a rumor. However, there are still so many questions to answer! If Kavic wasn’t beat, why was he neglected to the point he will more than likely lose his eye at best, his life at worst?!? Why wasn’t this health concern addressed sooner?? 

Also, why is the sheriffs department lying to the public about this whole ordeal? If a call about the dog was responded to THREE times, how did this go unnoticed?!?
