Take action against officers of Ministry of Natural Resources & Forestry

A disoriented black bear was shot dead in the Scarborough area earlier this morning as the Toronto Police couldn't get hold of officers from the Ministry of Natural Resources to help them tranquilize the bear. For nearly 4 hours from the first sighting, the news was all over the media about this bear and the need for the safety of both the public and the bear. Yet, the officials from the ministry didn't take any precautionary measures in coordinating with the police to catch the bear alive. Actually, they couldn't be even reached, according to the Toronto Police which is an utter shame. This is a senseless death which could've been avoided only if the staff of MNRF acted responsibly. We demand the officers in charge of that shift to be relieved of their duties immediately. We kindly would like to remind you a similar incident which occurred on June 1st 2015 where another bear was put down due to MNRF's not arriving at the scene on time. No more excuses. Action needed to prove your leadership!
