This might make it easier for Ontario to sell YOUR land...and more quickly. Here is what we NEED you to do:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ONTARIO GOVERNMENT TO DISCONTINUE RELATIONSHIP WITH HANDICAPPED ACTION GROUP, INC. (HAGI)
The Office of the Minister of Economic Development, Employment, and Infrastructure has contacted us regarding the Wilderness Discovery site on Lake Shebandowan. They have stated that "HAGI has agreed to provide vacant possession of the property in fall 2015. Without a viable business plan to cover both the lease and the property's operating costs, the Government of Ontario is not in a position to continue its relationship with HAGI."
We would like to thank HAGI for their vision in 1984 to begin operations of this beautiful, barrier-free facility. It is the model of accessibility because of its development through a labour of love from the community for 31 years. We will now try to take the necessary steps to resurrect this unique landmark and destination with the help and dedication of a different non-profit organization.
We continue to request that the Legislative Assembly fulfill the public's wishes, as directed by the petition we submitted to Kathleen Wynne on June 15, 2015, that they vote to grant permanent protected status for this small parcel of Crown Land. We urge any and all MPPs to debate this issue for the good of all of Ontario. They should do so quickly as to not impede progress and allow the disability community uninterrupted access to a vacation on par with their able-bodied citizens. If we all move forward cooperatively and expeditiously, we can achieve the goal that disabled children, veterans, seniors, and families can continue have an equal sanctuary in the beauty of Canada's natural splendor.
