According to the Irish Times quoting Dennis Naughten TD today, it appears that the Irish government and NCPE have rejected a second application from Biogen regarding the funding of Fampyra. If correct, this is soul-destroying news for all the people with MS for whom this drug is effective and their families. Fampyra is not even included on the Drug Payment Scheme. This is a dreadful financial burden for people with MS and their families to bear during a time when many are already struggling. I urge you all to make contact with your local TDs immediately and express your outrage at this unfair and unjust situation.
