Since March 23rd, 2020 the State of Oregon has effectively been under “Medical Martial Law” issued by Governor Kate Brown. Misdemeanor charges can be issued to those in violation of these orders. This came from partisan pressure of the heavily populated areas of the Portland and Salem area. Since then Governor Brown has continued to hold our state hostage just like many other governors are doing. Oregon Child Welfare has created new guidance on the removal of our children if we are potentially symptomatic. As a former Child Protective Service worker this ambiguity is a dangerous combination. Many of our livelihoods have been jeopardized, families continue to question how they will manage finances, employment, and basic family needs all the while our elected officials enjoy their positions with no concerns for how they will survive tomorrow.

Many of us did not choose the stay at home order. Many of us know basic flu and virus precautions because they have been posted everywhere and taught to us prior to the pandemic, and yet the government overreach has extended beyond what we should have allowed and that time needs to change. It is time for us as both citizens of Oregon and the United States of America to unite and let them know enough is enough!

When does it end? Where do they draw the line in what can and can’t happen and how do we ensure that someone responsible is at the helm. Many of us in this state already believe that Governor Brown has a negative agenda and that been proven time and time again during these past few months. Our collective situation is only going to get worse if we don’t scream with conviction that we the people are done! The time is now for Oregon speak and to fight the evil that is coming. Our way of life is being changed dramatically for the worse and unless we correct it we will experience a new normal that will dictate our futures.
