Karen Handel Must Participate in 6 Debates with Jon Ossoff prior to 6th district election

The Issue

Residents of the 6th district of Georgia deserve to be able to make an informed decision prior to casting their vote on June 20, 2017. Without sufficient public debates, this election will become a popularity contest rather than a democratic election. Karen Handel has rejected several public debates, and is attempting to vet the 3 confirmed debates in an effort to evade public scrutiny. Voters deserve to have answers to their questions and a clear understanding of the vision and plans of our officials prior to casting our vote in this critical election. Candidates shouldn't be allowed to cherry pick which debates they will attend based on their popularity in those regions. Karen Handel is running a campaign to represent the constituents of this district, and she must make an effort to participate in these debates where our diverse community is represented. Failure to do so will lead to inflated election results, based solely on party affiliation rather than an informed populous casting their vote for the best candidate to represent their interests & community in Congress.
