I am seeking help not just for my husband but for other inmates in similar situations. My husband is incarcerated here in Kansas on a charge he did 10 years for. He was released from prison in June 2018 and Feb 7, 2020 the AGs office filed an appeal to have him civilly committed even after Dr. Mitchell Flesher determined him to not meet the criteria. He got off of parole, Sept 2020. My husband was detained Dec 28, 2020 on contempt of court, which there was NO court hearing to be in contempt, it was just their way to hold him for a jury trial. Yet no jury trials are being set due to covid. My husband is a good man and doesn't deserve to have to continue to deal with everything he's being put through. My family has been through so much and it's like the system doesn't want to give us a break. I feel like my husband is being targeted and nobody seems to be willing to help me, him, us, our family. I refuse to give up and will continue contacting anybody and everybody in hopes of somebody understanding and actually having a heart. I've spent OVER $2,500 to make sure my husband has "decent" food and so we can communicate. Also, the jail where he is incarcerated at currently needs to he looked into because there is so much sneaky stuff going on there and the way a lot of the guards and higher up treat the inmates is unreal. I've made so many complaints but nothing is ever done and some of the staff is very disrespectful. There are others in jails and prisons on similar cases. (I believe we need to change laws here because innocent lives are being ruined due to minor females lying about their ages and meeting up with older men online, females need to be held accountable for their actions otherwise they believe what they're doing is ok and they will continue to do it and not care who's lives they destroy). I'm a fighter and I don't give up on what I believe and I do my research on EVERYTHING, I refuse to give up or back down until I have my husband back and justice is served!
