Kajabi — Don’t Leave Your Loyal Users Behind!

Kajabi — Don’t Leave Your Loyal Users Behind!
The Issue
We are a community of Kajabi users — small business owners, educators, coaches, creators — who’ve trusted your platform with our work, our audiences, and our livelihoods. Many of us have been with Kajabi for years. We chose this platform not just for its features, but because we believed in the mission behind it: helping everyday people build real businesses online.
That’s why your recent sudden pricing changes, set to take effect in January, have left so many of us feeling frustrated, blindsided, and frankly — disrespected.
This isn’t just about cost. It’s about how the change was handled, and what it signals about Kajabi’s relationship with the very people who helped it grow.
What We're Experiencing!
1. No Transition, No Warning, No Flexibility
The new pricing model was announced with no advance notice at least year ahead, no phased rollout, and no meaningful options for long-time customers. Many of us are on annual plans, or monthly plans already locked into our customer agreements, only to find that the future cost of staying on Kajabi will more than double — or worse.
For small businesses, even the previous $149–$199/month plans were already a stretch. Now, with the new tiers, some of us are seeing increases of $50 to $100 or more per month — without additional value we asked for, and without any chance to plan.
We’re being told to pay significantly more, without time to adjust, plan, or even understand all the implications. This level of disruption would be difficult for a large business — let alone a solo creator trying to stay afloat.
2. Loyalty Doesn’t Seem to Matter
We stuck with Kajabi through every version, update, rebrand, and relaunch. We learned the system, adapted to its quirks, and referred it to others. We were early adopters, testers, and ambassadors. And now, instead of being recognized for that commitment, we’re being asked to pay as if we just arrived yesterday.
This decision feels like Kajabi has outgrown us — and is quietly replacing its loyal base with bigger, higher-paying customers.
3. Not Everyone Needs or Asked for These New Feature
We understand that Kajabi is evolving — and we respect the innovation. But the assumption that all users want or need every new feature (AI tools, bundled packages, etc.) is misguided. Many of us chose Kajabi for its simplicity — not because it tried to be everything at once.
We should not be forced into higher-tier pricing for tools we neither asked for nor intend to use.
4. This Is Hurting Real People
This isn't theoretical. People are panicking. Facebook groups and forums are filled with creators saying they’ll have to:
Cancel their memberships:
Migrate to other platforms they don’t really want to use
Or shut down their business entirely. We are not just usernames in your database. We’re parents, freelancers, educators, side-hustlers, and founders — and this change is hitting hard. Some of us will not recover from it.
What We’re Asking For
We’re not asking Kajabi to stop growing or stop innovating. We’re asking Kajabi to grow with its community, not at its expense.
Specifically, we respectfully ask that you:
- Grandfather existing users into their current pricing plans
- Offer a discounted option based of how big is business are, allowing customers to choose whether they want access to the new features or prefer a simpler, more affordable plan.
- Provide a clear and extended transition period.
These are not radical requests — they’re reasonable, ethical, and consistent with how other customer-first SaaS companies handle major changes.
Why This Matters
Kajabi’s strength has never just been its features. It has been its people — the everyday creators who bet on your platform before it was “mainstream.” The ones who stayed, gave feedback, adapted, and believed in what you were building.
Please don’t let this be the moment you leave us behind.
Because how you handle this decision — right now — will be remembered far longer than any new feature launch.
