Many people feel as though this young age range displays tendencies of record labels in the U.S. who are known for using young celebrities to ponder to people with pedophilic interests. Fans are expressing that music made in the U.S., that does very well in media, usually has more mature and explicit content and are concerned on what this could mean for the young ones who make it past the audition.

Fans are heavily against this extremely young age range yet JYP and Republic Records seem to not be budging. 

Please consider increasing the age limit to help keep young people safe from the damaging climate of the music industry and to be more inclusive of the older fans.
