Thanks, everyone, for encouraging me to keep this petition up. It's comforting to know that so many of you feel that people of ALL religions belong in Canada. Sure, some Muslims are violent, but some Christians can be, as well. We only have to recall the shootings at the Quebec mosque recently and in the black church in Charleston SC last year. A journalist shared the following video with me. It's a clip of CCC President Charles McVety speaking at the "Freedom Rally" on Feb 15. He channels Donald Trump in claiming that "the media lie" and by stoking fears against Muslims. In 2011, Canada Christian College invited and hosted Geert Wilders, an anti-Islam politician who has called for the banning of the Koran. Some have recommended that I contact the media to share my story and ask if they can investigate further. I've never done that before, so I'd appreciate advice - or someone with media ties to make a reporter aware of the defamation threat.
