I am looking to have it mandatory for all teachers, and teachers aides, across Canada to have First aide. 

On March 15, 2021 my daughter Jennifer Louise Winkler was killed in her classroom, and did not receive immediate first aide, her injuries required this. In her school here in Leduc Alberta when a emergency of any kind happens they go into  a lockdown. Meaning they cannot leave the room, this also meant for my daughter that she was now in a classroom with a teacher with no training. It was over 3 minutes before the principal was able to apply first aide. This was to late, and my daughter did not survive. She was only 17. 

I am asking everyone across Canada to please sign and help have this mandatory. This is not a hard ask, and in my opinion shocked that this was not already in place. I was told by my daughters school that it is only required to have a certain amount of teachers to have first aide...Ok but this doesn't help in a lockdown and no one can leave the room. Would my daughter have lived if she received immediate help, this I will never know. Lets not take anymore chances with another child.
