We, the family and friends of Sam Matue, are devastated by the tragic loss of our beloved son, brother, and friend due to police actions. Sam was a vibrant and kind soul whose life ended too soon, raising serious concerns about the conduct of the officers involved.

In light of this tragedy, we are advocating for the implementation of mandatory body cameras for all police officers in New Zealand. Additionally, we demand that an internal investigation be conducted by an external body.
