My name is Othello Bledsoe.  I was an AKC, registered, purebred, black Labrador Retriever.  I was living life to the fullest eating tasty snacks, chasing balls, and sunning.  When my family and I went to our country home all that changed.  It was a Sunday evening on April 30th, my nose lead my to wander next door.  That is when I was shot in the mouth then the head ending my life.  I was never able to make it back to my parents who were sitting outside waiting for me to return.  

All families who have had their pet killed by someone else deserves justice.  No family should have to go through this kind of tragedy.  Pets are family and they deserve justice to what happened to them.  No matter the animals it should not be okay to take the life of a family's pet.  The law should protect our pets.  Those that take their lives should be arrested, fined, and charged for murder. 

How many more pets have to die before something is done?  If a person can be charged and serve time in jail for killing a police dog or horse then the same should go for a family pet.  Murder is murder regardless of title.
