Every day, children are exploited and abused, and our justice system does nothing for them. It is heartbreaking to witness the innocent lives affected by these heinous acts of violence and exploitation. For families across our community, this is not just a statistic; it's a harsh reality that we live with daily.

One such case involves Donovan Clements-Fisher, 20, who has been accused and convicted of 2 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor; and 1 count third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. He was arrested Tuesday, May 12th, and was released on a bond of $7,500 that same day. This predator continues to walk free. 

The law must take decisive action now. We call upon the authorities, specifically Horry County Police Department and Attorney General Alan Wilson, to take IMMEDIATE steps against this individual. Conduct a thorough investigation, gather all necessary evidence, and prosecute Donovan to the full extent of the law and put this predator behind bars for good. 

Statistics show that predators often re-offend, perpetuating a cycle of abuse that affects generations. According to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, over 421,000 reports of missing children were made in just one year. Every report may represent a child lost to a predator. We cannot allow more children to become statistics.

We need laws that protect our children and keep predators off the streets. By pushing for the immediate court date and prosecution of this individual, we not only seek justice for the victims but also send a clear message that such acts will not be tolerated.
