Justice for Victims: Bring Back the Death Penalty

Justice for Victims: Bring Back the Death Penalty
The Issue
REINTRODUCE THE DEATH PENALTY FOR THE UK'S MOST HEINOUS CRIMES
The United Kingdom is facing a growing crisis of violent crime. Across the country, innocent people are losing their lives, families are being torn apart, and communities are being left devastated by acts of extreme violence.
The tragic murder of Henry Nowak shocked many people across the nation. More recently, the horrific knife attack in Belfast, which left a man with catastrophic life-changing injuries, has once again raised serious questions about whether our current justice system provides punishments that truly reflect the severity of the worst crimes.
This petition is not about politics, race, religion, or division. It is about justice. It is about protecting innocent people. It is about standing with victims and their families.
We are calling on the UK Government and Parliament to begin a formal review into reintroducing the death penalty for the most extreme and horrific crimes, including:
• Premeditated murder. • Terrorist murders. • Multiple murders. • Child murders. • Murders involving torture or exceptional brutality. • The murder of police officers, prison officers, and emergency workers while carrying out their duties.
Many people believe that those who deliberately commit the most horrific crimes should face the maximum possible punishment under the law.
This petition seeks to open a national debate and give the British public a voice on whether the current system is delivering justice for victims and their families.
