Justice for Tanishka — A Mother Seeks Truth for Her 10-Year-Old Daughter’s Death at School
The Issue

My name is Tripta Sharma. I am the mother of Tanishka, my 10-year-old daughter — my only child.
On the morning of 4 September 2025, I sent her to school like any other day. She was healthy, cheerful, and excited. A few hours later, I received a call saying she had “fainted.” By the time I reached the hospital, my child was no more. She died inside her school.
Ten months have passed, yet one question remains unanswered:
“मेरी बच्ची के साथ स्कूल के अंदर क्या हुआ?”
“What happened to my daughter inside the school?”
Here are the disturbing facts that continue to raise serious concerns:
- The forensic (viscera) report was withheld for months after her death
- I was repeatedly told the report was “pending”, even though it had been received within two months of the incident
- It was only shared with me in February 2026
- When accessed, it showed that a sedative-class substance was found in my daughter’s organs, as per the official forensic report
- No explanation has been given for how it entered her body
- On the day she died, all 16 CCTV cameras were reported as “not working”
- The school provided multiple conflicting versions of what happened
- The FIR was registered 23 days later, after repeated follow-ups
- The investigation has been slow, inconsistent, and lacking transparency
This petition highlights serious gaps in the investigation and a lack of accountability.
I am asking to:
- Conduct an independent investigation by an impartial panel — preferably CBI/SIT.
- Hold the school authorities accountable for lapses and contradictions.
- Ensure transparent re-examination of all forensic evidence, including DNA profiling.
- Strengthen school safety protocols across India so no child is placed at risk.
- Hold CBSE accountable for its failure to take timely action against the school.
I do not seek revenge.
I seek the truth.
I seek justice.
I seek answers for my daughter.
My daughter cannot speak anymore — I am her voice.
If this can happen to my child, it can happen to any child.
No parent should have to live with this unanswered silence.
Please stand with me.
Please sign and share this petition.
Let her voice be heard.
Let her truth come out.
