It has taken six years and four months to get a death certificate for her daughter – but finally it has arrived. Receiving Talon’s death certificate is one small step forward for Kayla and her family but their fight is far from over. The Victorian Government has turned down her request for an inquest, so she will meet with a coronial lawyer next week to find a way to overturn that decision. The Domestic and Family Violence Minister Natalie Hutchins and the Attorney General Sonya Kilkenny say they will not talk to Kayla about her eight-month-old baby’s ongoing murder case. You can find out more about Talon and Kayla’s fight for justice on the She Matters podcast.
